The Social Studies Department strives to develop well-rounded, informed, and active students through a comprehensive educational approach. We aim to promote active citizenship by helping students understand their roles and responsibilities in society. Through courses that draw on the perspectives of historians, geographers, economists, political scientists, psychologists, lawyers, and other social scientists, students learn to apply a variety of analytical tools and techniques.
